Doug had a relationship with the Power Transmission and Belting Supplies business that dates back to the mid-1990. He and his wife acquired the business in 2017. Doug has accumulated tremendous electric motor and geared motor and associated product experience with over 20 years in the industry. He is recognised as a go to problem solver with applications experience and market leading products.
Doug has worked with some of Australia’s largest processing and manufacturing businesses and has a passion for improving systems and provided efficient solutions.
Doug started his career with CMG electric motors before building the Transmission Australia business into the largest dedicated power transmission company in the country.
Transmission Australia was acquired by Regal in 2010 and Doug took on a role leading the mining and projects division for Australasia before leaving the business in 2013.
Post working with Regal and whilst completing his MBA Doug worked for a leading auction house introducing and developing systems to improve the efficiency of the business.
A family man who grew up in and still lives in Melbourne’s Eastern suburbs Doug is a motorcycle and motorsport enthusiast and a passionate Richmond Tiger’s member.
